Trullo Retreat

Nine stone cones in the Valle d'Itria. A private house, not open yet.

The house

Late 1800s to 1900 dry-stone trulli at Contrada Trasconi, Martina Franca, Puglia. Nine cones, about 120 years old, partly ruined, now in restoration. A glass and stone extension sits with the cones.

The stay

Private use, with room for a small group of 4 to 6. The field stays open: an almond grid, a north line of local olives, a west clump of hackberry and downy oak, pomegranates to the south. No lawn.
